The original house, on the left bank above the bakeries. Mornings smell like wood smoke. The Beas is close enough to hear after dark and far enough that the lane stays walkable.
Left bank, Old Manali, Kullu, Himachal Pradesh
Hot water 6–10am and 5–9pm. Bonfire on the cedar deck at 7, unless the rain is serious. Shoes off past the stone step.
